Sharks Midfielder Wins MVP Award In Grassroot Soccer

Sharks of Port Harcourt midfielder, Obomate Harry has won the most valuable players award in the just concluded wakirike peace and unity soccer cup.

Obomate Harry is a shark football club of Port Harcourt midfield in the 2012/2013 Nigeria premiership football season. Though his play was cut short because of injury he sustained in the middle of the season hence denying him play time for the rest of the season till the end of the 2012/2013 football season.

Playing in Kala Opus football club of Okrika against Noblex 20 football club of Okrika in the finals, the midfielder was instrumental to the only goal of the match as he gave out a well tailored pass to his team mate jersey No. 17 who netted the only and winning goal of that particular finals.

Kala Opus FC having lifted the 2013 edition went home with N1.5million. First runner up Noblex 20 FC carted home N1million and 2nd runners up Komo United smile home with N.5million.

The best goalkeeper award goes to Chinenyema of Noblex 20 FC, George FC produced the highest goal scorer with 7 goals, best behaved team was Ogoni United. ###
