President-General Of IYC Consoles With The Family Of Late INC President

The President General of Ikwerre Youth Congress, “General” Chinedum Samuel Smith, on behalf of his family and members of Ikwerre Youth Congress, commiserates with the family of the late President of Ijaw National Congress, INC, Senator Tan Sekibo who slumped and passed on in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

“General” Smith told our reporter that he is pained by the demise of the great Ijaw son, saying he was a formidable defender of justice in Nigeria. While grieving with the family of the late Icon, the youth leader called on government to immortalize the late Sekibo and possibly name an institution to remember his great ideals while alive.

He lauded the achievements of the late President which includes the peace and stability of the Niger Delta during his tenure, urging the INC to build on the principles and ideals he left behind, while also advising the body to be more united in their quest to move the Ijaw nation forward.

“The versatile President of the [NC left us when we needed his wonderful and kind advises. I am sad with his sudden death which shook the whole world. One of our shinning stars have left us and it will be difficult to fill the vacuum, but we believe that God Almighty knows why it happened”, he stated.

“General” Smith said the late INC boss made meaningful contributions to the socio-economic growth of the nation, pointing out that the entire country, Rivers State and every defender of justice will forever miss him. He consoled the immediate family and the entire Odo Abaji War Canoe House of Okrika for losing this worthy son so soon. ###
