…As Abe’s Supporters Debunk Endorsement of Cole
Following the endorsement of Mr. Cole Tonye by Minister of Transport, Rotimi Ameachi camp in Port Harcourt, Rivers State recently.
Mr. John Kalio a supporter of Senator Magnus Abe’s camp has debunked the news making rounds that APC has endorsed Mr. Cole Tonye the 2019 gubernatorial candidate of APC as the sole candidate comes 2023 gubernatorial election in Rivers State.
According to Mr. Kalio, if care is not taking the incident that took place in 2019 governorship race in Rivers State in which APC gubernatorial candidate was disqualified may come to play again. Because distinguished Senator Magnus Abe is hopefully in the race and he recently visited Okrika and Ogu/Bolo local Government consulting for their support as APC gubernatorial primary approaches. As such how can a few pathological, disgruntled, ignorant politicians with little mind meet selfishly to endorse unpopular candidate and exile Rivers man based in Lagos state as our APC Gubernatorial?
Rivers people cannot be fooled, they know their true candidate in APC and somebody who stays around them, knows their pains. The man is distinguished Senator Magnus Abe.
Minister of Transport, Rotimi Ameachi and his cohorts should bear in mind that APC Rivers state is not personal registered company where an individual will always dictate who takes what and how. APC is owned by members of APC from the grassroot to the top.
As it is now, the political storm rocking APC since 2019 gubernatorial election seen not to have abated following the endorsement of Mr. Cole Tonye as the sole candidate of APC in Rivers State and as the saying goes “A house divided against itself cannot stand”. This may be a sure gain for peaceful PDP comes 2023. We are watching as the beats goes on. ###
