Rivers Assembly Service Commission Condoles Chief Whip Over Brother’s Death

The Rivers State House of Assembly Service Commission has condoled with the Chief Whip and member representing Ogu/Bolo Constituency, in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Evans Bapakaye Bipi over the sudden demise of his younger brother.

Hon. Chidi Amadi said it is painful when a loved one is loss, describing it as monumental, and prayed God to strengthen him to bear the irreparable loss.

Responding, Hon. Bipi thanked members of the commission for their concern, pointing out that it shows love and sign of good working relationship.

Hon. Bipi described the death as a great loss to the family, as they are going to miss him, but that their visit had encouraged him, as he gives God the glory.

Other commissioners in the entourage include: Hon. Arthur Uchendu, Hon. Paul Ayagwung, Chief Hon. Charity Demua and the Secretary to the Commission, Barr. Eze Chinnah.

In a related development, the Good Companion Association of Ogu in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, led by its chairman, Mr. Josiah Ogerebipi also paid a condolence visit to the Chief Whip and Rivers State House of Assembly member representing Ogu/Bolo constituency, Hon. Evans Bapakaye Bipi over the sudden death of his younger brother.

The spokesman of the group, Mr. Awo Ogerebipi said the deceased; Mr. Goddy was a friend to many and described his demise as a great loss to the youths and people of Ogu kingdom.

Ogerebipi also used the forum to clarify some issues in the community and commended him for his vibrant and outspokenness in the Assembly, open handedness, and other developmental strides in his constituency, enjoining him to keep up the spirit as they prayed God to strengthen and encourage him as a political leader.

Responding, the lawmaker of the 8th Rivers Assembly, Hon. Bipi thanked them for the visit and assured that he would always use his position to better the lives of people and the community, and charged them to reach peace, unity and cooperation in the community as well as shuns partisanship in chieftaincy wrangling in order to ensure rapid development and attract government projects.

Hon. Evans who disclosed some of his achievements, advised them to set education as priority while he promised to secure a piece of land as a permanent site for the Annual Ogu Beach Party ad other recreational activities as tourist centre. ###
