The Amanyanabo of Belema Community in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State, HRH Ibinabo T. Kalaoriye has alleged that some persons suspected to be killers, have trailed him to his residence in Port Harcourt.

HRH Kalaoriye made this known at a press briefing in Port Harcourt on Friday. According to the Belema monarch he recognized two out of the four suspected killer gang that came to his residence.

The paramount ruler recalled by saying that “ I was standing at the front of my building with a journalist on Thursday, December 1, 2016, when I saw a Sienna vehicle with a tinted glass packed few meters away from my house. And I saw four young men came out of the car and walked straight to me. And I recognized two of them, one Ipalibo Apamabo and Diebo Osima Gogo. These persons are among the people disturbing my community”.

HRH Kalaoriye told newsmen that he did not know the reason why these persons came to his house on that fateful day. The monarch maintained that these youngmen must have come with other suspected killers who were hiding somewhere at Aba Road, close to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP secretariat.

The Belema monarch noted that the suspected killer gang approached him and wanted to forcefully gain access to his residence, but he resisted. However, the king hinted the newsmen that while they were unable to gain entrance to his building the suspected killers started threatening him.

“One of them, Ipalibo Apamabo pointed at me and said that he will silence me, that is to kill me,” Kalaoriye alleged.

The Belema monarch had earlier told the press that he had reported the matter to the police, and further called on the security agents to swing into action and bring the perpetrators of this evil act to book.

The paramount ruler recalled that in the year 2004, similar incident occurred where his second son was killed. He said that the death of his son led to the arrest, detention, and prosecution of some persons in the area. “I have the feeling that those persons who killed my son, are the people behind this fresh plot to kill me”.
