Funky Four Foundation in conjunction with the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC has discovered some talented youths in the University of Port Harcourt.
This discovery was as a result of an advocacy programme organized by the Funky Four (4) Foundation. The theme of the programme was “Creative Artistic Talent Development for Sustainable Self Reliance and Wealth Creation”.
The Director Operation of the foundation, Mr. Michael Ogolo while delivery his welcome addresses said that there is need for the youths to discover and develop their talents in order to be productive in the society.
Also speaking, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Ndowa Lale through his Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof Hakeem Fayemi promised that the institute would collaborate with the Funky four to develop the students’ talents.
In his speech, the three members of the foundation namely: Tekena Iyalla, Daniel Nworka Dan, Kunle Oluwole gave much credence to the foundation.
Meanwhile the outgone acting Managing Director of NDDC, Mrs. Ibim Semenitari has commended the Funky Four for organizing the programme.
The Acting MD was represented by the Deputy Director Youths, Sports and women Affairs, Prince Alasia stated that the NDDC will partner with the funky four to ensure that youth talents and skills are properly developed. ###
