Hon. Damiete West, the National Assistant Secretary of Grassroot Development Initiative, GDI has condemned the alleged printing of fake electoral materials in Port Harcourt ahead of the December, 10 legislative re-run election.
This was contained in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Tuesday and made available to newsmen.
Hon West described the printing of the fake result sheets as “criminal act, adding that it is capable of truncating, the nation’s nascent-democracy.
The GDI National Officer called on security agencies to urgently wade into the situation and bring the perpetrators of the wicked act to book. He maintained that the perpetrators of the wicked act has committed an evil against the Nigerian state. Hon. West pointed out that no matter the political manipulations, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is sure of electoral victory in December 10 re-run.
“There is no way for APC in Rivers State – APC is a dead party and has nothing to offer. I believe strongly that nobody will vote for APC candidates in the forthcoming re-run election in the state”, Hon. West asserted.
He commended Governor Nyesom Wike for his excellent leadership style, noting that the governor has put smiles on the faces of Rivers people through his development projects.
Hon. West called on the people to rally round Governor Wike so as to move the state to the next level. ###
