Economic Recession And Practice Of Thanksgiving

nigeria_map_mAll known economic policies and theories are no longer working to salvage the looming Nigeria’s economic crisis. Our president, Muhammadu Buhari, the father of modern change mantra is now in the state of dilemma having traveled to several oversee countries to find solutions to the nation’s economic problems.

The naira, the Nigeria’s currency is depreciating on daily basis and has lost its flavour and relevance in the international market.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) led Federal government under President Muhammadu Buhari has tried all means to ensure that the economy gets better.

Now the latest policy the government wants to adopt to salvage the Nigeria’s economy is the planned sale of her national assets.

Due to the economic hardship Nigerians find it extremely difficult to eat three (3) square meals, hence mental illness is on the increase.

Though economic policies and theories have failed, but there is one hidden spiritual key and if apply diligently and continually will positively turn around one’s personal economic hardship.

That hidden spiritual key is thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is an act of appreciation and gratitude. Anytime you give thanks to God, in other word you are telling Him to do more and better things in your life. Unthankful heart grieves the Holy Spirit, while a thankful heart provokes God blessings.

Because of space and time, I will not dwell much on thanksgiving. But one basic thing thanksgiving does, it brings about revival. Continuous thanksgiving can revive the economic of a nation and equally brings personal upliftment.

For an illustration in St. John II, when Jesus appeared at the graveside of Lazarus, who died and buried for four (4) days, with the voice of thanksgiving Lazarus came back to life. Hence, whenever we thank God for the Nigeria’s economic, despite its convulsing nature, there must be stability and it will come back to life. One way to escape the hardship is to practice thanksgiving continually. ###
