The environment in which we find ourselves ought to be very important to us, because it tell a story to others about how we live and how comfortable we are in the said place. It is utmost importance to leave a good impression regarding how we care for our environment.
It is natural for most people to want to keep their bodies and clothes clean presentable at all times, which is necessary but what happen to the surrounding, they are living in.
Cleanliness is one of the basic requirement of human life. Cleanliness is necessary to gain a perfect health and personality. Your environment (house) tells a lot about you. People believed that the way you keep your house has something to do with your personality.
Your house is where you stay, sleep, eat and have a good breath, if it is not properly taken care of, then you have a case to answer with your health. Your house is where you spend majority of your time, it plays an important role in your well being both physically and mentally, that’s why you need to keep it decent.
A clean and neat environment will definitely reflect in one’s habit and behaviour. A poor living condition affects our well beings and give rooms for the growth of germs and spread of disease.
It is so annoying how some women kept their bedroom scattered. Bedroom was meant for good rest after the day’s struggle but most women turn it into their packing store, as a result making the room that was meant for comfort to be endurable instead of enjoyable. Some husbands have decided to take solace in mistresses houses because of what their wives had turned their bedroom into.
Some women complaint that their husbands spend nights outside, have you try to find out what you are lacking inside that is chasing him out into the bosom of another woman? You can’t turn your bedroom into a shop and still expect somebody to have the comfort of a home. Your bedroom must be sacred, well arranged to give you the comfort you both desire.
An adage says, “Show me your friend and I will tell you who you are”. The way our children appeared tell exactly what is going on in our home. Our children especially most children going to public school are so unkempt, sending the signal that the home they are coming from is not in order; their school uniform, books, school bags are nothing to write home about. Your children are the message, you are sending to the street from your home, so always send a good message about your home.
Many Nigerians patronize roadside food because it is cheaper and easy to get, and also help in generating income to women who took their time to prepare this food to supplement their husbands’ income. Kudos to them because it is not an easy task for one to wake up by 4.00 am to perform this task. Women Focus wants to use this medium to tell these women “thank you”, and also want to lay emphasis on the environment or surrounding, these food is being prepare from. Lots of these “mama put” as the name goes, happen to be cooked from a very dirty and disgust environment and is package very well to the roadside where it is being sold.
Women Focus is concern when a cube of maggi will fall from your hand while putting it in the pot, and you will just pick straight to the pot, not minding that human beings are the ones eating that food or your child will just poo within where you are cooking, and you overlooked it and continue with the cooking or the same hand you are using to prepare the food is the same hand, you will use to remove your baby’s cathaarrat, wipe it on your wrapper and straight to the cooking not even washing your hand first. Some level of decency should be observed while cooking public food.
If there is no National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control checking roadside food before taking out to the public, your conscience should be your NADFAC. Eating from you by the roadside indicate that those people trust and entrust their lives in your hand and the best protection you can give them is an adequate preparation of their food.
Some had being sent packing out of their matrimonial homes because of dirtiness, and someone will want to ask me “Just because of dirtiness, will a man sent his wife packing? Yes, if you cannot keep a good hygiene where a man who knows what hygiene is all about, what did you expect? It might be a minor issue but to some men, they can manage a nagging woman than a dirty wife. What you have in the inside should reflect in your outside. Let our environment and surrounding tell people who we are in the inside. ###
