Mile one axis of Port Harcourt is one area that is crying for attention anytime rainfalls, because of an uncontrollable flooding. This is caused by poor drainage system. Flooding has caused so much damage in different parts of Port Harcourt. Residents lost their valuable properties worth millions of naira to flooding. We call on the Rivers State government to construct good drainage system round the Port Harcourt city and its environs in order to control periodic flooding in the State. ###
