Akulga: Kula Kingdom Set To Explode…Prophet Killed

Information reaching our crime desk had revealed that Kula kingdom in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area is on the path of bloody war, if certain precautionary measures were not taken. The kingdom is currently sitting on the keg of gun powder and can be exploded anytime.

Last week no fewer than ten (10) indigenes of the community stormed our office and complaint bitterly that if the Amanyanabo of Kula kingdom, HM King Kroma Eleki Sara is not call to order in no sooner time the community will snow ball into crisis.

The concerned indigenes who do not want their names on print for fear of being killed or elimination told our correspondent that the Amanyanabo is fueling crisis in the kingdom, alleging that the king is trying to upturn an existing and already established norm in the community.

They revealed that the crisis might be caused by leadership tussle, pointing out that, the kingdom is made up of four (4) compounds, and the heads of the various compounds had only two (2) year tenures and thereafter the leadership moves to another family. According to them the present four (4) compound leaders have been on the seat for over six (6) years without vacating the seat. This action, they said was against the law of the community.

The concerned indigenes further alleged that one Mr. Whoknows Nelson and Mr. Emmanuel Fenny have been on the leadership seat for over six (6) years and refused to handover to the new leadership rather they (Whoknows) and Emmanuel) are threatening to kill the incoming new leaders.

One Sir, Prophet Abassey E. Fenibo who was opposing their sit-tight attitude and refusal to handover to the newly elected leaders was brutally murdered on the high sea while traveling to Abonnema, the headquarters of Akulga.

Information had it that after the gruesome murder of the prophet, one Baba A. Sunny, a younger brother to Mr. Whoknows, one of the sit-tight compound leaders threatened to assassinate, Mr. Ibiosiya Ogum, a newly elected compound leader. This weekly also gathered that, Whoknows and Emmanuel Fenny had further threatened to murder one Onengiye, another elected compound leader.

They maintained that the continue stay in office of the old compound leaders, whose tenure has expired long time ago, is capable of destroying the entire Kula kingdom. The concerned indigenes, however lamented that while the police and other security agents are working hard to restore peace and order in every community in the state, King Kroma Eleki and his cohorts are hell bent to bring problems to the Kula kingdom.

When this publication contacted Mr. Emmanuel Fenny he denied the allegations, describing them as false and attempt to tarnish the good image of the community. He advised the public to disregard the said allegations.

All efforts to contact King Eleki Sara, Mr. Whoknows and Baba A. Sunny as at the time of going to press proved abortive.  ###
