Rivers Rerun: APC Loses Hope, Prays For 2019

Uche-SecondusIt is no longer any secret that the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State had thrown in their towel in the reschedules rerun election billed for the state any moment from now as their utterances speak volumes.

While the actual reason for their actions was being contemplated by citizens across the state, it is now crystal clear that since they cannot win elections in Rivers State, whatever could jeopardize the conduct of the election must be given the chance and blame same on the PDP.

A chieftain of the APC in the state from the Andoni extraction who do not want his name on print in an exclusive chat with the political correspondent of The Newswriter revealed that even if they (APC) participate in the election, the obvious remain that the PDP would win the polls, hence their antics to ensure the continuous postponement of the elections.

According to the anonymous APC chieftain “The truth is that if we come out for the election, the PDP would floor us irrespective of the time of the election.

“So we simply adopt the strategy of either delaying the elections or making it not to hold at all.

“What is our watchword now is to pray for 2019 to come, if we can take over the state from the PDP. My brother, PDP is superior to us in this state, our people are only making noise because of federal might, but that is not working in Rivers. The people are fearless even in the face of the boys we have”.

The titled APC Chieftain who preferred anonymity also hinted this publication that it is not true in his wisdom that the PDP could burnt down INEC office in Khana LGA for whatever reason.

He said “I doubt what my people said that the PDP burnt the INEC office for the council hall to be used for the election”. And if that is my fear, the truth is not far that my people the APC must have orchestrated that evil to score cheap goals.

It would be recalled that some of the ex-cultists in the area had hinted The Newswriter prior to the postponement of the election that election must not hold on the said July 30th and it came to pass.

However, the analogy between the revelations of the cultists as published in previous edition and the submissions of the traditional ruler could best describe the activities of the APC as sabotaging the efforts made by the Gov. Wike led government to enthrone peace.

Meanwhile, The Newswriter source further revealed that the next action of the APC would be to publicly boycott the election anytime it is scheduled since it cannot contend with the PDP, adding that they did not equally have the money to spend as those expected to vote out money are at variance with the state leader Rotimi Amaechi.

But what he could not ascertain was the reason for the discrepancy between the APC leader and other stakeholders.  ###
