Council staff under the aegis of Unified Local Government Executive Officers Welfare Association has applauded the Caretaker Committee CTC, chairman of Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon. Adonye Diri for his unprecedented development strides.
This was contained in a letter entitled “commendation” sent to the council boss; the association noted that since Hon. Diri assumed office as the CTC chairman, Opobo/Nkoro LGA, the staff of the council are happy.
The letter which was signed by the state president of the union, Comrade Prince George N.S., the association praised the council chairman for clearing the backlog of workers’ salaries and allowances in the past three (3) months, provision of power, sanitation amongst others.
Comrade George noted that despite the little allocations accrued to the LGA, the chairman is performing wonders, especially in the areas of water supply, provision of office equipment and working materials. The association pledged its support to the administration of Hon. Diri and prayed God to give him the wisdom to pilot the affairs of the LGA perfectly. ###
