Commonwealth Covenant Church Synod: Archbishop Kattey Assures Christians The Era Of Terror & Fear Are Over

The Presiding Archbishop and founder of Commonwealth Covenant Church International, Archbishop Moses Kattey, has assured Christians in Nigeria that they should not entertain fear; but strongly have faith in God because the era of terror and intimidation is over, for God has liberated them from the hands of evil men.

Archbishop Kattey made this disclosure at the Headquarters of Commonwealth Covenant Church International at Alode, Eleme during its 9th Synod session.

Speaking to the congregation on the essence to firmly believe in God, and not to have fear, because God in his mercies has aggressively liberated the Christians, hence there was no need to fear the traps of the evil men on earth. “Christ death on the cross, and subsequent rose from the grave and ascended to Heaven is a total freedom and liberation for Christians on earth” Kattey noted.

Speaking further, the amiable man of God, said the synod is the highest organ of the church where decisions and policies concerning the church administration are made, hence it was necessary to use the occasion to remind Christians not to lose faith and have the mind-set of victory because Christ has paid the price for them on the cross. However, he reminded them to be vigilant and prayerful.

According to him, the situation in Nigeria in general and the church in particular, calls for intensive prayers. “Many churches are owing their ministers salaries for months, families survive by God’s grace. Many persons are out of work and businesses are declining; while monies are hidden in few persons’ houses withdrawn from bank accounts. We pray for the recovery. Herdsmen are busy evangelizing for converts by killings. The period is rough and bad for Christians, but victory is assured at the end”, the cleric said.

Continuing, Kattey said, he still wonder how God meets the needs of about 7.4 billion people on earth on daily basis and said that goes a long way to show that God is awesome, “He protects and feeds us and all the birds and animals, despite the assault from Satan”.

He expressed gratitude to the members of the Synod Committee for a job well done, especially to their chairman, Barr. Kenneth BlueJack.

Among those who graced the occasion were Bishop Ebenzer Onungwe (JP), Bishop Kenneth Nwafor-Gomba, Bishop Godfrey

Mbaka; Bishop I.B. Nathan, Bishop Williams Ademba from Kenya and Eleme LGA chairman Hon. (Pst.) Johnson Nwogu. ###
