Extend Demolition To All Waterfronts In Port Harcourt
In the past few weeks the Rivers State Government under the leadership of Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike is embarking on demolition of criminals’ hideouts in Port Harcourt and its environs.
Last week the government’s demolition team moved into the Eagle Island community, where so many buildings were destroyed. Also during that exercise criminal hideouts were demolished.
The sanitalization of the Port Harcourt City and its environs from unholy activities of criminal elements is totally good for every person residing in Rivers State. We commend the Governor for doing that.
Rivers State has been a bad spot and breeding ground for all kinds of evil activities. Criminals and kidnappers have since taken over the state.
Though Governor Nyesom Wike has vowed to take the battle against thieves to their abode, adding that he (Wike) will not rest until he gets the state rid of crimes.
As Wike set to achieve this noble goal, we shall draw the attention of the governor to the various waterfronts in the city of Port Harcourt, especially at the Diobu axis.
Most of the people perpetrating notorious crimes are residing at waterfronts. Governor Wike war against crime can only be successful if the state government demolishes the waterfronts.
It is disheartening to state that the various waterfronts are training grounds for rapists, kidnappers, thieves and cultists.
Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi did it while in office as the governor of Rivers State. It is on record that the two dreaded waterfronts in Port Harcourt namely Abonnema Wharf and Njemanze waterside were demolished.
At this point let us call on all Rivers people to support the governor on his crusade against crimes in the State. ###
