The Bonny Youths Federation executive administration led by Barr. Simon Wilcox expired on the 28th May 2016, the area, the Chairman Caretaker Commitee of Bonny Local Government Area, Hon. Charles Tonye Jumbo on 3rd June, 2016 appointed a five man committee headed by Mrs. Tamuno-olobo-Fagha Jamaica so as to conduct free, fair and credible election of the BYF.
In a chat with this publication in her residence at Bonny, the electoral chairman, Mrs. Jamaica, said that she was appointed as the eleco chairman by the CTC chairman on the 3rd June, 2016 among four others based on the misconduct of the erstwhile leader (Simon Wilcox).
Jamiaca noted that she has held a position in BYF, as one time general secretary.
She also noted that her appointment was confirmed by the Bonny Chiefs Council on the 17th June, 2016, saying that she was asked to bring peace into BYF because of cases in court.
Adding that the ex-leader (Simon Wilcox) may be the cause of fracas in BYF because of his ambition and character.
Jamaica assured that she will ensure that before the election of the BYF that cases in court will be dismissed out of court if need be.
She, however urged all aspirants who had already purchased forms, calling on the public to remain calm in order to maintain peace in the Kingdom.###
