He said “from January, 2015 till now, over 170 sanctions and administrative fines has been meted out to companies and establishments including sachet water factories for violating NAFDAC standards” He commended NAFDAC group members who have been carrying out campaigns and sensitizing the public on NAFDAC activities and need to patronize only NAFDAC registered food/drug products.
The state coordinator said that the absence of NAFDAC from the border post has led to the penetration of spurious products from Cameroon into the country; he, however said that the state office is working closely with other sister agencies such as SSS, customs and NDLEA to check the ugly trend.
He called for the cooperation of the people in assisting the agency in its onerous task of safeguarding the health of the nation. ###
