In a bid to propagate peace and tranquility in the State after services of communal clashes and youths restiveness a patriotic youth of Rivers State, Tubkikiba Kiki Briggs in conjunction with the Ministry of cultural and Tourism Rivers State is organizing a peace concert that will usher in peace in Rivers State.
Briefing media practitioners, entertainers and music producers, the organizer of the peace concept Mr. Tubkikiba Kikis Briggs said the aim of the Peace concert is to preach Peace and good neighborliness among the people of Rivers State especially the youths.
Mr. Kikis said that the show will promote peace among the various youths of the state to bring rapid development to the state, saying that gansterism, shooting and cult related activities in the state has reduced the investment climate which will also reduce unemployment opportunities in the state.
Explaining further the musician stated that most companies had relocated to other parts of the county due to the current youth restiveness in the state, while urging individual, corporate organizations and the Rivers State government to give their maximum corporation to make the peace concert a success.
Ask on the strategies the organization plan to use. He told journalist that the peace concert will be held on 4th June, 2016 at the Rivers State College of Arts and Science, Port Harcourt stressing that the show will be to showcase talented Rivers youths in the music industry noting that through music the youth can be change Agent in the state.
“This is a different peace concert because we are moving to all the 23 LGA’s in the states to sensitize the people against violence” he said.
On the issue of funding, Mr. Kikis maintained that currently the Port Harcourt peace concert is a concept by him and some of his friends while tasking business organizations, local governments, state government and individual to join in the process to drive peace to our loving state. He stated that due to pocket of crises in some communities in the state resulting in killings the night life of Port Harcourt City is gradually moving into extinction and call for all and sundry to support our dear state to avoid capital fright which has led to a great economic disadvantage.
Answering question on peace among musicians in Rivers State, Mr. Kikis Briggs told the media that he is particularly disturbed that there is no strong bond among the Artists in Rivers State rather some pockets of disunity. He call on the youths of Rivers State be a peaceful and stay away from social vices saying his dream is to lay an everlasting legacy behind. Earlier, one of the spokesmen, and a musical Artist, Michael Gabriel task Journalists to fully support the peace concert so as to bring back development to the state. He said the Port Harcourt All Stars Peace Concert 2016 will propel development and the youths will benefit at the end of the day.
