In summary one can define democracy as the government that belongs to the masses. Democracy as a system of governance is all about the people. For sixteen (16) years Nigerians are enjoying uninterrupted democracy.
In every democratic society, the citizens enjoy certain rights, privileges and freedom.
The essential of democracy include: improved economy, better standard of living, provision of social amenities, good health care delivery, availability of power, better educational facilities etc.
The Nigeria’s democracy is advancing towards maturity; hence the nation is in search of good and incorruptible leaders that have the will power to ignite policies that will revolutionalize the country’s economy to save the citizenry.
The Bible says that when the righteous rule the people rejoice, therefore when unrighteous are in the helms of affairs there will chaos and confusion. In Rivers State since Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike stepped into the Brick House as the Governor in May 29, 2015, the people are jubilating due to his giant strides.
The governor has built and constructed so many roads within his short stay in the Government House. Governor Wike has positively touched so many lives through his laudable policies and programmes.
Wike is the man of the people and a righteous ruler who has the mind to develop all parts of the state.
The governor is indeed a non-tribal leader, thus he needs support from all and sundry to succeed.
Rivers people should look beyond party lines to give their maximum support to the Governor, that is the only way we can facilitate development in the State. ###
