Andoni Cult War: 10 Killed, 3000 Houses Burnt …CTC Boss Indicted

The Andoni LGA of Rivers State has been a flashpoint for cult activities. The mainland of the LGA is infested with cultism and hooliganism. Andoni communities are now known for notorious activities.

There is no day passes without blood flows in Andoni. Most of the communities under the LGA have been deserted due to unrelented killings, kidnapping and sea piracy.

Last week armed militants with army uniform stormed Oyorokoto community and unleashed mayhem on the people of the area. During the raid, the senseless militants who are sons of Andoni burnt no fewer than 3000 houses in the Oyorokoto community.

The armed thieves also burnt down the palace of the paramount ruler and destroyed fishing equipment worth N2bn.

The cultists stationed permanently at Ngo, the headquarters of the LGA. Information reaching our crime desk attributed the renewed cult activities in the area to the non-challant attitude of the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Andoni LGA, Hon. Victor Ere. The CTC Boss is said to be self-centred, and non-performing.

A source revealed that the CTC chairman did not judiciously utilize the N10m security vote he is collecting every month.

According to the source, Hon. Ere has allegedly withdrawn every logistic support to the police and the Joint Military Task Force (JTF) stationed in the LGA, and diverted the huge security votes to his personal bank account.

It was gathered that criminals who are armed with different dangerous weapons have mounted security check points at Ngo waterfront. The CTC chairman has lost grip of the administrative affairs of the LGA, hence indigenes are calling for his sack.

Last week no fewer than ten (10) persons were reportedly killed in the LGA as dreaded cultists disrupted a burial ceremony. Riffles belonging to two mobile police escorts were also seized by the Andoni cultists. The hooliganism in the LGA reached.

Its peak on Monday as masked and unmasked armed gunmen boldly attacked the Nigeria police station at Ngo town. They opened fire on the policemen who are on duty.

During the stupid attack they carted away arms from the station. The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ahmad Mohammadu DSP confirmed the attack. ###
