March 19: Abua/Odual Kicks Against Military Invasion

The people of Abua/Odual Local Government Area of Rivers State have condemned the presence of Military officers in the area. They blasted the soldiers for causing mayhem in the LGA during the re-run polls.
The military officers were shooting sporadically to scare away the eligible electorate not to exercise their civil responsibilities and constitutional rights.
The president of Rivers Youth Federation, Comrade Mujito Adokiye frowned at the shooting of one Sir Udi T. at Ogonokom describing it as a calculated attempt to frustrate the members of PDP from voting.
Also speaking the CTC chairman of the LGA, Chief Hon. Oye Igenewari condemned the military invasion, but stated that despite the presence of the soldiers the election was free and fair. He thanked the people for coming out enmass to vote for the candidates of their choice. ###
