Bonny: Wike’s Aide Applauds Voters For Massive Turn-Out

The commissioner in charge of the Rivers Ministry of Local Government Affairs, Chief Hon. Rodaford LongJohn has applauded the people of Bonny Local Government Area for their massive turn out during the last Saturday’s re-run polls in the LGA.
The commissioner lauded all the arms of government to beef-up security in the area, despite the election did not hold. Hon. LongJohn called for unity and cooperation amongst the members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
He commended the state governor, Chief Nyesm Wike for his steadfastness during the re-run polls. LongJohn promised that Bonny will anytime, anyday will deliver her votes to PDP whenever the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC calls for afresh election.
In his speech, the chairman of the PDP in the area, Hon. Simeon Hart called for calm and advocates for peace and unity among party members.
It would be recalled that Bonny is one of the 8 LGAs, the INEC cancelled the Saturday’s re-run polls in the state. ###
