The Amanyanabo of Elem Sangama in the Akuku-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State, HRH Tamunobere Orusa has been abducted. He was kidnapped at his residence at Elem Sangama. The monarch was carted away alongside with his younger brother, Iwo Major at about 9.00pm on Sunday.
Kidnappers forced their way into the palace of the royal father. It took about two (2) hours for the senseless abductors ransacking in the homes of the Amanyanabo before they took their victims away.
At the waterfront the younger brother was released, while the paramount ruler was taken away by a speed boat through the creeks.
Meanwhile, the family of the missing king has established contact with his abductors and they are demanding for N40m as a ransom.
The abductors told a family member that, they were paid N30m to assassinate the Elem Sangama monarch, adding that the only way they (abductors) will set him free is for the family to pay N40m as ransom. As at the time of filing in this report, four (4) suspects have been arrested by the police in connection with the kidnap of the king. Reports had it that the suspects are giving useful information to the police. ###
