The management of Rivers new born baby Rivers United has started screening a feeder team to back up it main team as to feed the main Rivers United from time to time.
The feeder team of Rivers United when constituted would be responsible graduating players to breaking in to the main Rivers United team from season to season.
This was one of the recommendations made to the Rivers State government by the 6man committee appointed by the Rivers State government to look into football affairs in Rivers State.
This is equally an opportunity for budding football talents who wants to break into playing in Rivers United and other Nigeria Professional Football teams in the Nigeria Football League.
Meanwhile, the newly constituted Rivers United is among the top 3 teams in the Nigeria Professional Football League log in week 5.
The move will as well minimize the Rivers State government spending less while reaping most with this move in place as well as providing opportunity to raw football talents to be discovered.
Port Harcourt, the capital city of Rivers State could be described as a city of football raw talents that is waiting to be discovered into the football large family.
