The Oba of Ogbaland and paramount ruler of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, His Eminence, Sir Chukumela Nnam Obi II, has warned that any politically party found to be causing confusion before or during the forthcoming elections in the state would be blacklisted by the people of the area.
The monarch, who gave this warning in a statement issued on Tuesday after a meeting with traditional rulers, village heads, elite of Ogba, opinion leaders, politicians, religious leaders and security agents, cautioned that aspirants of such political party would be rejected at the poll by the people.
Eze Chukumela Obi, who had expressed worry over the killings in his area, called on the people of the area to resist any attempt by desperate politicians to cause confusion during or after the rerun election in the area.
He also warned that any person, no matter how highly placed, who decided to foment trouble before, during or after the March 19, State and National Assembly rerun elections, would be dealt with, adding that nobody was above the law.
In the statement, which he personally signed, the monarch urged politicians to play politics according to its rules ahead of the March 19 State and National Assembly rerun elections.
He solicited for peaceful, free, fair, and credible Re-run elections and warned against the use of hate-and-abusive languages during campaign instead of issue based.
