Dep. Gov. Promises Better Life For Bonny Indigenes

flowing pic- Deputy Gov.On Saturday 5th March, 2016, the Rivers State Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Dr. Mrs. Ipalibo Harry Banigo paid an official visit to the Amayanabo in council, King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple at the Perekunle Palace, Bonny, the headquarters of Bonny local government area of Rivers state.
The Deputy Governor states that her visit to Bonny is to intimate the traditional rulers and good people of Bonny and to reaffirm the promises made during electioneering campaign.
She assured that the promise she made shall be accomplished soonest.
Dr. Harry Banigo stated that the state governor, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has directed Rivers State Ccommissioner for Transport to urgently inspect Bonny/Port Harcourt waterfront and submit same report for immediate action that the Bonny National Grammar School project will soon commence while the Bonny Ring Road is already indiscourse.
The deputy governor assured that more appointments will be given to Bonny elite, while she charged all to vote PDP candidate in the forthcoming re-run elections so as to enable all to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
She however, lauded the leadership of Bonny PDP while urging them to remain focus and united.
In his speech, the chairman of Bonny chiefs council, se-Alabo A.O. Manilla Pepple thanked the Deputy Governor for her visit. The chief noted that in the past 16 years Bonny LGA has not experienced project. He however, highlighted some major problems facing in habitants of Bonny which include: insecurity on the water ways, dilapidated condition of Bonny/Port Harcourt waterfront and Bonny coal beach jetty.
In his remarks, the PDP chairman Bonny chapter, Hon. Simon E. Hart commended the Deputy Governor for her visit, Hon. Hart pointed out that Bonny PDP is cordial and in Unity.
In his remarks, the State Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon. Radaford O. LongJohn lauded the Deputy Governor for her official visit to Bonny LGA.
LongJohn tasked the deputy governor to take the messages from Bonny to the Governor for necessary action, saying the Bonny is for PDP that the people need government presence.
In his view, the council CTC chairman, Hon. (Amb) Charles T. Jumbo thanked the Deputy Governor and her entourage to Bonny LGA and assured that PDP to Bonny LGA, and assured that PDP is the only party in the area, that is administration had silence other parties in Bonny LGA.
He however appealed for more support from the state level so as to benefit more developmental project in the area. ##
