Bonny Council Boss Presents Patrol Vehicles To Bonny Police Division

To maintain peace and harmony, the chairman of the Bonny Local Government Area Caretaker Committee Hon. (Amb) Charles Tonye Jumbo on Monday, presented two Patrol Hilux vehicle to the Bonny Divisional Police Officer for effective security of lives and property.
In his speech, the council boss, Hon. Charles Jumbo noted that the essence of the vehicles is to redouble the efforts of the police in the area, saying that the importance of the security agents cannot be over emphasis in the maintenance of law and order, hence fighting insecurity is paramount.
The council boss charged the police and other law enforcement agencies in Bonny Local Government to live up to expectations in combating crimes in the area.
On behalf of the Rivers State government the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon. Rodaford O. Longjohn handed over the patrol van keys to the Bonny D.P.O, S.P Masoyi A. Dadi.
The Commissioner particularly lauded the council Chairman for his benevolence in discharge of his duties in the area, Hon. Longjohn charged the Police Boss to ensure effective discharge of his official duties and in cooperation with the indigenes, so as to ease him achieve his aims and objectives.
Hon. Longjohn pointed out that the importance of the security men cannot be over emphasis as the forth coming rerun election is fast approaching and tasked the police to live up to expectations of the society.
In his remarks, the Divisional Police Officer, SP Masonyi A. Dadi lauded the council boss for the kind gesture and promised that the van will be effectively used for its purpose.
The DPO assured that officers and men of the police in the area will carry out their duties without any fear or favor. The police boss appealed for co- operations.###
