Okrika Cluster: N700m Missing

The activities of Wakirike Cluster Board have been halted, as the tenure of the President Executive body headed by one, Mr. Sunday came to an end, months ago.
The dissolution Sanday led administration was raised during a meeting with the management of Ereton Company last year, but the chairman (Sanday) and his cohorts objected the dissolution, saying that the meeting with Ereton was not a platform for such dissolution, as money meant for the cluster communities amounting to N700, 000.00 in the past four years was still hanging in the invisible thin air.
We gathered that board members and their respective communities members have been waiting expectantly and are apprehensive, as the said sum might allegedly be in the Shell Petroleum Development Company’s financial institution or in one of the Wakirike Cluster Board executive members’ personal account to yield huge impress amount.
Our correspondent in Okrika revealed that from 2013 till date, each of the cluster communities had written more than 300 proposals to that effect, for the release of the said fund.
Meanwhile, Christmas and New Year’s packages sent to Wakirike Cluster Board members by Ereton Company (the Asset/facilities managers) of SPDC, allegedly disappeared, when they were being delivered to the board office at Okochiri, Okrika. ###
