The Management of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company has remained adamant over the nationwide warring strike by Labour Unions, Civil Service and the consumers, as it has recently passed another high estimated bills to the electricity consumers in Port Harcourt and its environs.
Our correspondent reported that there was an uproar between a customer and a staff of PHED at the Borikiri distribution office following an estimated bill of N21,000.000 which the woman (name withheld) wanted to clarify from the PHED officals, another woman who simply gave her name as Lady, wondered how their bill was N12,000.00 imagining how that a compound of 6 rooms will pay N22,000,00 even with our metre, she lamented. ###
