Re-run: Who Wins In Asalga/Akulga Federal Constituency?

In March 19, 2016, the People of Asalga/Akulga Federal Constituency will join their counterparts in other federal constituencies in Rivers State to vote for a candidate of their choice that will represent them in the lower chamber of the National Assembly.
In the Asalga/Akulga Federal constituency two candidates stand out for the upcoming re-run election. They are: Dr. Dawari George of the All Progressives Congress, APC and Ms Boma Goodhead of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The two candidates are now canvassing for votes from eligible electorate. However, the contestants have their strengths and also weaknesses. Careful study shows that if the playground is leveled for both contestants, the political battle will be tough, but at the end a winner will emerge.
Dr. Dawari George, the APC candidate has so much advantage over his arch rival. The electorate in Asalga will prefer to vote massively for Dr. George because of his straight forwardness and sincerity in politics.
While in the National Assembly, Dr. George had empowered so many people in the community, and he is more popular than the PDP candidate, despite her biological link with the former Niger Delta agitator and the founder of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force NDPVF, Chief Asari-Dokubo.
Boma Goodhead’s six (6) month stay in the House of Representatives did not prove to the people of the constituency that Nigeria is a democratic State, her non-challant attitude towards the constituencies brought excruciating pains to the constituents. She had a poor representation and lacks the ability to champion the cause of the people of Asalga/Akulga Federal constituency.
From the political permutation out of thirteen (13) wards in Asari-Toru Local Government Area, Boma Goodhead cannot win convincingly in three (3) wards, if the election is not rigged and the electorate are given the chance to exercise their franchise.
Boma Goodhead whose stronghold is Ward 6, of recent declared support for APC, because of the presence of another strong candidate for the Rivers State House of Assembly (Asalga constituency 1); Comrade Hope Barango Tariah. The ward 6 is also Opunabo Inko-Tariah’s domain. Infact, no amount of persuasion of voters will assist Boma Goodhead to win in the Ward 6. Dr. Dawari George is the man to watch who has all what it takes to win.
Where the political battle will be tough is in Akulga where seventeen (17) wards exist.
Boma Goodhead anchors her hope on Akulgans’ votes, knowing fully well that Asalga is a no go area for her. However, the Oceania wards in the LGA will not vote for her, because of her funny pattern of leadership style during her brief stay in the National Assembly. During her primary election, the Oceania did not vote, but rather supported Onimim Jack, who is currently the Rivers State Commissioner for Agriculture.
When our political correspondent interviewed some voters in the area, they declared to vote for Dr. Dawari George, because of his humility, and advised Goodhead to step down because she has nothing to offer.
It is now very clear that Dr. Dawari George will come out successfully if all things being equal, because he is the right candidate that can represent the Asalga/Akulga Federal Constituency in the lower chamber of the National Assembly in the next four (4) years. ###
