PH: Supreme Court Ruling Will Not Deter Rivers APC- Dakuku

dakuku nThe Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the April 2015 General Election in Rivers State, Dr. Adol Dakuku Peterside said the Supreme Court verdict will not deter the party in any way.
Dakuku dropped the hint at a stakeholders meeting of the party over the weekend.
Dr. Dakuku maintained that as a people of God and a party in the state, God will never fail his people noting that in every situation we should give thanks to God.
He explained that just like the people of Israel, the APC will in no distant time be liberated saying that God work in a mysterious ways and his ways are far apart from men while tasking members to be more committed and remain patience at all times.
The Governorship candidate stated that the party will continue to thank God to the shame and anger of the enemy saying that God will take APC to the promised land. He told party faithful that while both the election Tribunal and the Appeal maintained that there was no election in Rivers State because the election was characterized by electoral violence which leads to the death of many. The Supreme Court differs in their judgment.
Dr. Dakuku, however, thanked the over 2,000 members who received him at the International Airport Omegwa and gave them words of encouragement from the Minister of Transportation Rt.
Hon. Chibuike Ameachi that they should remain steadfast.
In his contribution, the candidate of APC on the re-run election on the South-East Senatorial District, Senator Magnus Abe said as Democrats the party believed in rule of law saying the APC accepts the judgment of the Supreme Court while thanking Dr. Dakuku Peterside for all his decisions and his doggedness to challenge the matter up to the supreme court.
Senator Abe stated that the court has also asked Rivers people to take another decision especially at the coming election to vote APC to ensure victory.
Also speaking Hon. Andrew Uchendu the candidate for the re-run election at the West Senatorial District told the APC supporters that if voted into power the electoral killing in Rivers State in the 2015 General election must be truly investigated and those who are responsible will give account. Hon. Uchendu said he wept for his country Nigeria and Rivers State because Rivers people did not vote for Governor Wike, that if voted they will give quality representation to Rivers State. Earlier, the state party chairman of APC Dr. Davies Ikanya said the purpose of the stakeholders meeting is to evaluate the decision of the Supreme Court and to accept in good faith.
Dr. Ikanya task members of the APC to be civil and remain committed to vote for all the candidates of the party.
Other dignitaries at the meeting are Hon. Asita O. Asita, the member of Board of Trustees of the party, Dr. Sam Jaja, Rt. Hon. Dan Amachree former speaker and a senatorial candidate for re-run election the party, woman leader Mrs. Nagba, Chief Ngofa, National Officer of APC among others. ###
