The floater has been floated, indeed God is not a man that He should lie. Truth is liken to a floating object which could not sink irrespective of what came against it. Years has come and gone, generations would come and go, man may jubilate and or carryout any sort of injustices against another but when the appointed time is due – Godstime, all that seems impossible must certainly come alive.
Almost eight months running and Rivers State has suffer untold and unimaginable tales, propaganda and certain unrest arising from the greedy and ungodly quest to govern the state by men of double standard who dares God. But at last God has done it again for His name to be glorified.
On Wednesday 27th January1, 2016, there was indeed echoes of joy, jubilation and celebration in the airwaves, streets, villages, all nooks and crannies of the state celebrating the Supreme Court judgment of Wednesday 27th January, 2016 affirming the electorate decision of April 11, 2015, that is the election of Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike,, CON.
There is no street in Port Harcourt and the various local government headquarters that dose not witnessed the celebration of the Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike’s victory.
It was because while the governor was optimistic that he is confident and believed God to give him victory as well as believed in the judiciary, the opposition were busy propagating lies and confusing the populace of their federal might, saying that President Buhari who had told the Election Tribunal and the Appeal Tribunal Court to unseat the governor would also do same to the Supreme Court.
The lies was so much that men with little faith had change their directions, dump the PDP for the APC, hence when it was obvious that the Supreme Court had upheld the election of Governor Wike, his supporters and those who watches the scene do not have any alternative than to celebrate the victory and mandate they gave to the PDP and the governor in April 11, 2015.
To the glory of God, all anticipation, fears, tension and evil preparation of the opposition for a possible re-run of the governorship election were not only dashed, disappointed but shame them for daring God.
Now, or since the declaration of the judgment on Wednesday 27th January, 2015, the entire Rivers State is witnessing peace, irrespective of the noise by the APC again to sweep the 3 senatorial seats, House of Representatives and 22 House of Assembly seats.
Issues Abattoir described it as a noise because the obvious cannot be overemphasised as Rivers State is a PDP state. Not minding the defection either to APC or PDP, the PDP is formidably on ground to coast home with victory.
The PDP has regained her ground in the state since the April 11 election which saw the governor on the throne. It was a shocking party only when the former governor Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi taught of sinking it into his new found love in APC following his greed and personal interest of becoming a vice president.
But just as the people acknowledged what he did by siphoning Rivers money, selling of state owned properties to please his selfish desires, the people stood on their feet to make the PDP more stronger.
One thing is paramount in the course of this episode, and that is the maturity of the PDP to remain calm in the face of the daunting challenges and so called defections. When Issues Abattoir sort to ascertain the reason(s) for such quietness, some top men in the PDP replied that the party is never silent but quietly working while assuring that the defectors would return but even when they did not come back, the PDP would win all the schedule re-run in the state.
Obviously, the above paragraph has come to pass, defectors and core-APC members who are fearful of the next 4 years have begun the negotiation for return as many others have already publicly returned.
As the governor settles down to work for the transformation of the state, it is the opinion of Issues Abattoir that, having run the state as private estate by the immediate past administration of the APC and Hon. Amaechi, they should allow the elected governor to perform his constitutional functions of providing governance to the state.
Rivers State had been negatively projected in the past years of the former administration, where civil servants were not only owed but greater percentage of their salaries were deducted without justifiable reason(s), state owned properties either sold or concession for personal interest to privately owned companies etc.
Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON should be assisted by well meaning citizens of the state to provide services to the people.
When the opposition could not provide constructive criticism or valuable contributions to move the state forward, then they should sheath their swords and allow peace to reign Supreme in the state.
Though, the fight by the opposition in the state was unwanted, Issues Abattoir however commend them for the singular reasons of exposing liars who were considered men before their appearances at the tribunals. Now that they are known in the society, it is believed caution would be applied by those who may wish to have business, dealing or otherwise with them. Thank God for the tribunal and the claimants.
It is also the resolve of Issues Abattoir to call on the political parties in the state to play the game of politics with caution because those that used you to lie against others today may abandon, disregard and disrespect you in the nearest future.
Meanwhile, Issues Abattoir advised citizens to be lovers of peace and allow peace takes its place during the schedule re-run elections in the state.
Issues Abattoir, therefore join all well meaning Nigerians to felicitate with the Chief Executive of Rivers State, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, on the well deserve victory at Supreme Court. Indeed, the citizens on April 11th, 2015 decided for PDP and Wike through their votes and God through the Supreme Court have endorse it against the plans of the evil ones . bravo, your Excellency. !!!!
