Re-run Polls: 10 Reasons Why APC Will Crash In Rivers

dakuku_peterside2_2In the past few weeks our reporters are monitoring the political events across the twenty-three (23) local government areas of the state.
And the reports filed by our various correspondents have shown that, the most dominant factor in the Rivers political space is nothing else but by defecting and decamping of politicians now and then, to prove their strengths in politics.
So many myopic politicians on the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP have somersaulted to the All Progressives Congress, APC without thinking the damage(s) it will be done to the political structure now and the future.
Of recent some PDP chieftains namely Bekinbo Soberekon, Sunday Nwankwo, Bekinbo Dagogo Jack, HRH Diamond Tobin West, Chief Iboroma Kitcher, Daye Ojuka, Dr. Basoba Anga and several others had since been tumbled to the APC. The reasons of their defection are best known to them, but some social pundits attributed it to lack of political ideologies and selfishness.
Reports also revealed that ahead of the re-run polls, the APC has kicked off electioneering campaign. Our finding, however shown that despite the campaign, eligible voters in the state ignore the promises and activities of the APC.
APC, they said cannot win election in Rivers State because it has nothing to offer. According to one Comrade Sodieye Brown, the National Coordinator of Rivers Political Front, RPF alleged that APC is full of people with deceitful heart who are out to destroy the state.
Comrade Brown advanced ten (10) reasons why all the APC candidates will crash in the forthcoming re-run polls in the state. He enumerated them as follows:
1. The APC cannot bring the needed change because since it came into power May 29, 2015, the economy is becoming unbearable. The price of food stuff and other commodities have gone up, beyond the reach of the common man. Such government cannot usher in the needed development into the country.
2. Most of the APC chieftains namely: Chibuike Amaechi, Magnus, Dakuku Peterside and others were once members of PDP, where they made their billions of naira. Such people cannot tell us now that PDP as a party is bad. Since the formation of PDP in 1998, Amaechi, Dakuku, have been members of the party. How can they tell us today that PDP is no longer good? Who made it bad? Let them tell us now.
3. APC members have allegedly stolen billions of naira belonging to Rivers State. Besides that Rivers money was used by ex-governor Chibuike Amaechi to fund APC presidential campaign. This is not the people to identify with. They have abandoned so much projects in the state, especially that of multi-billion naira mono-rail project that emptied Rivers treasuries.
4. Most of the political violence during last year elections were perpetrated by the APC thugs and members. They killed and maimed a lot of PDP members and faithful across the twenty-three (23) local government areas. APC members are killers, thus such a party cannot champion the interest of the state anytime, anywhere.
5. APC members are detractor. Their ugly activities are frustrating the development in the state. They do not want to see the governor developing any part of the state.
6. The APC government does not mean well for the Niger Delta APC’s plan is to make things difficult for the people. Hence if APC is given the mandate to rule, Rivers people will suffer profusely.
7. Amaechi as the leader of APC, does not have respect for Rivers elders including the chieftaincy institution. And if APC is voted into power, the chieftain institution in the state will be relegated to the background, as such traditional rulers will not have any voice in issues concerning the state or their domain.
8. Rivers State belongs to PDP thus no political party exists in the state. Hence in any re-run poll APC will crash out, no matter the level of political manipulation.
9. The demolition of the Abonnema Wharf community that renders over 5,000 residents homeless. Sequel to this development riverine people have vowed not to vote for APC candidates `in the forthcoming re-run polls.
10. Amaechi applied dictatorial and draconian leadership style in governing Rivers State which subjected so many into poverty and penury.
Comrade Brown pointed out that with the aforementioned ten, (10) reasons listed APC has no future in the political space in Rivers State especially in the upcoming re-run elections. ###
