The Nigerian Liquefied National Gas, (NLNG) Bonny Island has donated five thousand (5,000) copies of text books (tagged) Ibani Language text books, to the Chairman Caretaker Committees, Bonny Local Government Council Hon. T Charles Jumbo.
In his speech, the team leader, the Community Relations Manager, NLNG, Sir Godson Dienye noted that the text books are for the primary schools to help them in speaking Ibani Language fluently.
Sir Dienye stated that NLNG is poised to impact the Bonny dialect to the young generation.
The Community Relations Manager earlier congratulated the Caretaker Committee Chairman and his team, saying that NLNG will give maximum supports to the administration of Hon Charles Tonye Jumbo to achieve the aims and objective of his appointment in the area.
Sir Dienye added that NLNG will ever give support to her host communities,
In his remarks, Bonny Council boss Hon (Amb) Charles T. Jumbo thanked NLNG for her gesture. He noted that the text books will be efficiently distrubuted to primary schools in the area. The council boss commended NLNG management in supporting their respective host communities adding that Bonny LGA is committed to live in unity with her visitors.
Hon jumbo appealed to other multinational operating in the area to emulate the gesture of NLNG. The council chairman emphasized the need for companies in Bonny to work as a team work with the Bonny Local Government Council and the traditional institutions in the area. ###
