Igbikisikalama Youth Movement of Port Harcourt Aborigene has solicited the support of Rivers Marketers, Elders and the entire marketers of Port Harcourt depot to queue behind Inimgba Emmanuel O vying for the Chairmanship position of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) NNPC/PPMC, Port Harcourt Depot.
Speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt, Youth Co-ordinator of Igbikisikalama, Tamunoene Tamunotonye affirmed that Mr. Inimgba is a dynamic gentleman who has all it takes to reposition IPMAN. He called for total support from all and sundry to give Inimgba an opportunity to prove himself, adding that Okrika community, a major landlord of NNPC/PPMC has not produced a chairman since the inception of IPMAN.
The Youth leader who described Inimgba as a detribalized Nigerian, noted that his leadership potentials will be brought to bear and also create an enabling environment to move IPMAN forward. He called on major marketers, as well as stakeholders in Port Harcourt depot to give Inimgba adequate support, saying the candidate will not disappoint them in terms of service delivery.
It is on record that since the inception of leadership positions in the various associations of the NNPC/PPMC, Port Harcourt depot, Okrika Community, a key player in the area has not been at the helm of affairs either by election or concensus.
“It is also quite disheartening that the PTD, IMB and IPMAN were headed by other tribes except Okrika, a key stakeholder, wondering why Inimgba should not be given a chance to prove his worth and give IPMAN a balanced equation, at least for fairness and equity,” Tamunoene stressed.
Inimgba, the quintessential gentleman is the Chairman of Okrika Indigenous Depot Workers, NNPC/PPMC Depot and Chief Executive Officer of Zenvil Integrated Services with marketing experience spanning over a decade.
Tamunoene has therefore pleaded with all key stakeholders, especially Rivers Marketers, Elders, the Eleme brothers and the entire key players in PHC depot to support Inimgba Emmanuel O for the chairmanship position of IPMAN, PHC depot.
Going down the memory lane, Tamunoene maintained that the IPMAN chairmanship positions were held by individuals from different tribes in the past which Okrika marketers supported. They are as follows: Harrison Oil-Kalabari, Nesere Oil-Ogoni, Censtrong Oil-Igbo, Sobaz Oil-Igbo, Zuru Oil-Ikwerre, Rinc Oil-Ikwerre, Debens Oil-Ogoni, Jijisco Oil-Eleme and Wesham Oil-Eleme, showing that Okrika has not taken a shot before in the chairmanship position.
The amiable youth leader expressed confidence that Inimgba will triumph at the end of the forthcoming IPMAN election because his track record speaks volume.
