SA On NDDC Affairs Seeks Police Collaboration

The Special Adviser to the Rivers State governor on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Chief Barr. Aribitonye Okiri has solicited for cooperation between the police, his office and the youths of Rivers. Chief Okiri made the request when he paid courtesy visit to the Rivers State Commissioner of Police Musa Kimo, on Wednesday being 9th of December, 2015 said, he was in the office of the police boss to seek for collaboration as well as to familiarize himself on his new appointment, adding that the police is a vehicle to peace and security at such his office could not do without the police in carrying out his duty effectively in the area of peace and security.
He also pointed out that his office is ready to partner with the police, stressing that there are areas the SA will go that definitely needs the police cooperation and support without which he could not carry out his work successful.
According to Chief Okiri, Governor Wike has place high premium on the security of the state, adding that the police force is the vehicle to peace and security in the society.
Responding, CP Musa Kimo, congratulated Chief Barr. Aribitonye Okiri the SA to the state governor on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and wish him well in his appointment, while saying that the SA is one of the police partners, noting that the police is the servant of the public.
CP Kimo, assured the SA that, he could count on the police security cover any day, anytime, noting that the doors of the police are open and will always assist him to succeed in his work, stressing that he should feel free to call, that the police is ever ready to grant audiences to his office at short notice with a proposal from his office.
Speaking to newsmen, Chief Okiri said he was in the CP’s office to familiarize and seek ways of collaboration in creating wealth and security for the citizens of the state.
“My office is here to turned the aggression of the youths to creating wealth, education as well as to make them useful to themselves and society. ###
