The Niger Delta People Revolutionary Force (NDPRF) has slammed the leadership of the Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for organizing what they call “Rivers Black Day Rally”.
According to the Rivers APC the essence of the rally was to mourn and commemorate their members who died during the general elections in the state.
Speaking exclusively to this weekly in a telephone interview, the leader of the NDPRF, High Chief Stanley Tyger Amachree condemned the said rally, describing it as a calculated attempt to foment trouble in Rivers State.
The NDPRF observed that the Rivers APC members are selfish and trouble markers whose aim is to truncate the relative peace across the length and breadth of the state.
High Chief Stanley Tyger Amachree alleged that the APC members are killers and devil incarnate that do not want to see the growth and development of the state.
He called that during the gubernatorial election in the state, the members of the APC brutally murdered one Iminabo, the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of Hon. Soboma Jackrich, the current Caretaker Committee Chairman (CTC) of Asari-Toru Local Government Area.
Besides the killing of the CSO, High Chief Tyger Amachree further revealed a lot of PDP supporters were killed and wounded in Asari-Toru, Onelga, Ahoada-West, Ahoada-East, Etche, Oyigbo, Abua/Odual and several other areas.
The NDPRF pleaded with the Federal Government to call the Rivers APC leadership to order, adding that the nonsense rally organized by them on Monday was capable of igniting crisis in Rivers State, “that even the federal government cannot contain it.”.
High Chief Tyger Amachree warned Dr. Peterside Dakuku against making unnecessary utterances that will throw Rivers State into anarchy. “APC members in Rivers State are bad people. They have nothing to offer, their major aim is to destroy the state. Dakuku should stop the evil thing he is doing now. Rivers is peaceful; therefore we don’t want to see anybody to destroy our State. APC members are destroyers, they should leave Rivers people alone,” Tyger Amachree said. He thanked the members of the PDP for their peaceful disposition during the said rally. And further applauded the Governor for the manner in which he handles the security situation.
Reacting swiftly to the Black Day rally, the President-General of Rivers Mandate, Hon. Mark Leh said that no true Rivers sons and daughters will organize such a useless rally at this time of the development of the state.
Hon. Leh who spoke with our political correspondent lampooned the leadership of the Rivers APC for venture into such a nonsense anti-development rally.
The President-General of the Rivers Mandate described the APC members as “agents of darkness”, pointing out that Dakuku, Magnus Abe, Davies Ikanya and other APC chieftains are deceivers, “because they don’t want to tell the Rivers people the true”.
Hon. Leh disclosed that no fewer than eighty-five (85) PDP members were killed by the APC thugs during the 2015 general elections across the twenty-three (23) local government areas of the state.
“Dakuku and his cohorts are crying more than the bereaved. APC members are killers. APC members are liars. APC members are deceivers”. Hon. Leh thundered. He urged the Rivers people to disregard the Monday rally, expressing optimism that the residents of the state are determined not to identify with APC, because it has nothing to offer the state”. ###
