RIVCAS Law Diploma Graduands Direct Entry Into RSUST On Course – Dean Law Faculty UST

blessing chimezie didiaThere is an indication that the problem of admission of the Rivers State College of Arts and Science Law diploma graduands for direct entry into the law faculty of the University of Science and Technology will soon be over as the management of the university is working out modalities in that regard.
It would be recalled that, there were problems of admission of law diploma graduands of Rivers State College of Arts and Science for direct entry into the Rivers State University of Science and Technology over the years.
In a chat with journalists during the Rivers State University of Science And Technology 1st monthly lecture on environmental law at the university campus Port Harcourt, Prof Nlerum S. Okogbule the dean faculty of law RSUST noted that the university management are in the process of solving the problem of admission of Rivers State College of Arts and Science law diploma graduands for direct entry of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, emphasizing that the RSUST are in cordial relationship with the RIVCAS their sister institution.
The UST law faculty dean who lauded the law students of the institution for their academic performances noted that the students have always made the university proud.
According to him, two of the law students of the RSUST who passed out from the university has made a first class in the Nigerian law school.
Prof. Okogbule who disclosed that the theme of the 1st monthly lecture on environmental law was “Our environment, our law and our lives noted that the essence of the lecture was to highlight students more on environment, and the importance of environment pointing out that people are causing a lot of damages to the environment.
The University Don expressed the need for all relevant agencies to inculcate the habit of learning their environment to avoid diseases pointing out that the most of the sickness were caused by unhealthy environment.
Earlier in a chat with journalists, Prof. Blessing Chimezie Didia, the AG Vice Chancellor of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology who described the ceremony as successful commended the initiative of law monthly lecture on environment and noted that the essence of the lecture was to educate students on the area they do not teach them in the classroom, saying that the lecture was aimed at impacting them knowledge on how to maintain their environment. ###
