Hollando football club of Port Harcourt representing Chelsea Football Club of England has won the maiden edition of Port Harcourt Grassroots Sports Initiative Represent Your Foreign Club Football Championship 2015.
The championship came to an end 29th of November, 2015 at No. 1 Field Bende Street, Old Port Harcourt Township.
16 Teams registered for the championship leaving Chelsea to win the maiden edition.
Speaking to sports journalists shortly after presentation of medals, the initiator of the championship, Mr. Viura Leziga, said the championship will be sustained annually.
He also revealed that plans are underway to extend the championship to secondary school and inter-local government councils.
Revealing his plans further on the championship he hinted that there are other areas in sports the championship will be extended to in the grassroots as the name implies. ###
