It is now known why President Muhammadu Buhari and his political party, All Progressives Congress are hell bent to scuttle the popular mandate given to Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party’ PDP in the April 11, 2015 gubernatorial election in Rivers State.
According to information reaching our newsroom, besides the oil and gas business in the state which President Buhari has vested interest, his administration is positioned to sack the PDP government and site the biggest mosque in the African continent on the land of Rivers State.
A chieftain of PDP in the state, Chief Maxwell George said Buhari and his party should forget about Rivers State, because nobody is interested in them, adding that APC is not a party to support.
He said there is no way Rivers people will accept APC having seen the type of notorious changes they are bringing into the country.
“Doubtlessly Nigeria’s economy is grounded. Nothing is working in this country. People are dying of hunger. Nigerians are now searching for their daily bread in the dust bins” Chief George said. He lampooned the presidency for putting the country in serious economic and political crisis.
Chief George slammed APC members of abusing PDP, alleging that APC is the problem of Nigeria. And if adequate care is not taken the entire country will soon collapse.
The PDP chieftain pleaded with the Rivers people to continue to support the policy(ies) and programmes of Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
President Buhari’s hidden agenda to build a colossal mosque in the State was revealed recently when the Christian community met in Port Harcourt, the state capital. In the said meeting Bishops, pastors and other spiritual leaders were in attendance.
No fewer than seventy (70) clergies attended the meeting. During the meeting it was revealed that one of the reasons why the president traveled to Iran last week was to renew the Nigeria’s membership in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). For sometime Nigeria has not been making her financial contributions to the Islamic organization. With the election of Buhari as the president, Nigeria is gradually moving back to OIC. Non-observance of the teaching of the Holy Quaran could lead to major dangers in no distant time in the country, the way and the manner things are unfolding.
The planned islamization of Nigeria was traced to 1975 under Late General Mohammadu. When General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) converted the Nigeria involvement from that of an observer to that of a full member of the OIC in 1986, it was meant to stop the gimmick of that nebulous concept, observers’ status and re-enact the idea of General Murtala Mohammadu to make Nigeria an Islamic Republic in the fashion of Libya.
The plan of the Islamization of the entire country is now burning in the heart of the former military junta, now President Buhari. Based on this premise, the President is to build the biggest mosque in Africa in Rivers State.
Some of the clergies who spoke to our correspondent called on Rivers people to reject any attempt made by APC to site the biggest mosque in the state.
Pastor Atako Elechi had warned the presidency against Islamization of the country, adding that Nigeria is a secular state and any attempt to act otherwise the country will boil.
Pastor Elechi called on the Rivers people to resist the APC’s plan of building the biggest mosque in the state, “and the only way to do this is to avoid anything about APC”. ###
