In his remarks, the chairman of Bonny Chiefs’ Council, Se-Alabo A.O Manilla Pepple earlier on behalf of the Bonny chief’s council congratulate the CTC chairman and his team for their new appointments. Chief A.O MANILLA PEPPLE, however highlighted some problems between the chiefs and the palace staff. saying that the council workers have not been paid for about 10-months, that the out gone council chairman failed to remit the approved N1m meant for Bonny chiefs council monthly, that the sum is for monthly meeting entertainment
The chief also frowned at the poor state of King Perekule Road, Bonny and careless packed of unused vehicles along the road, He however charged the council boss to use his veto power to call on the mechanics operators on the axes to remove all unused vehicles without delay.
Chief pepple lamented on numerous vehicles along king William Dappa road, Bonny .He tasked the C.T.C boss to ensure free zero pot holes in Bonny LGA. as the festive period is fast approaching.
The chief’s spokesman pointed at some companies that refuse to give employment quota to Bonny indigenes. He frowned at Pivot Company that refused to co-prate with BIRC for adequate employment quota meant for Bonny youths and residents, that the council chairman should immediately draw management’s attention to order.
In his response, the CTC chairman assured the traditional rulers that his administration will work in senagey with the chief’s council, so as to move the kingdom forward. Hon. Jumbo said that the plight of the chiefs council will be looked into, that the council will increase the N1M to N1.3M, monthly and the palace staff salaries will be effective within the period of his tenure while the unpaid arrears will be considered by next year.
The council boss thanked the chiefs for their fatherly advice and blessings. ####
