Bonny: 4 SPDC Staff Killed In Oloma Gas Explosion

The entire Oloma Community in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State was thrown into mourning as four (4) staff of Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), died in a gas explosion at Oloma flow station.
The sad incident caused commotion and panic at the flow station as the remains of three (3) staff of the SPDC workers were recovered.
Information had it that the ugly incident occurred as a result of leakage of the gas pipeline with high pressure, which claimed the lives of the Shell workers when they ignorantly inhaled poisonous gas. Investigations show that the accident occurred during the shut down maintenance.
As the corpses were discovered there was wailing and gnashing of teeth in the area. However, the identities of the victims are yet to be known. All efforts to contact SPDC prove abortive.
As at the time of filing this report the remains of the victims have been deposited in the mortuary.###
