Degema Chairman Rejoice With GDI Secretary Over Surviving An Accident

It was a joyful moment and jubilation for the entire people of Degema LGA when one of their illustrious son, Deacon Ipakiriboemi D. S. Benjamin, Secretary of Grassroot Development Iniatiative, GDI in the area lead his well wishers including the chairman CTC of the council, Mr. Tonye Freeman Tyger to thank God for surviving a ghastly motor accident that almost claimed his life as well as his marriage blessing ceremony.
The ceremony took place at the first African Methodist Episcopal Church Obuah, Degema LGA of Rivers State.
Speaking at the reception, Mr. Tonye Freeman Tyger, CTC chairman Degema LGA described the celebrant, Deacon. Ipakiriboemi as a dependable allied and a trusted man who is behind the success of his administration.
According to him, Deacon Benjamin is one of those who assisted in salvaging the LGA from bondage stressing that there is no doubt for joining him to celebrate for the wonderful thing God has done for him by rescuing him from the accident.
He advised the people of Degema to always be their brothers keeper, criticise his administration objectivity and advise him where necessary to move Degema LGA forward pointing out that his administration is on top of the security situation of the LGA.
Earlier, at the church service Rev. Johnson A. Johnson the officiating minister of the church commended Deacon Benjamin for his wise decision in thanking God for surviving an accident that would have claimed his life stressing that there is need for every individual to thank God for his mercies and gesture toward mankind describing church as an individual family that can accommodate all individuals.
He enjoined Christians to always participate in politics as to correct the ills of those in government and society as well stressed that Deacon Benjamin has done the right thing being a Christians and a politician as well.
Speaking with journalists at the ceremony Rev. Justice Umor Orlu, the Vicar incharge of the church commended Deacon Benjamin for glorifying and thanking God for saving his life from motor accident and for his marriage blessing stressing that there is need for a Christian to seek God’s forgiveness and marry through blessing of marriage after having married illegally for years.
In a chat with journalists at the reception ceremony, Deacon Benjamin thank God for his successful marriage blessing despite all odds. ###
