The Nigeria current president, Buhari is the most lucky Nigeria president alive as he has witnessed another soccer trophy during his time as president of Nigeria.
First it was 1985 when he was a military Head of State of Nigeria when the Golden Eaglets lifted the maiden edition of FIFA junior world cup at China.
After thirty (30) years Buhari is President of Nigeria and the Golden Eaglets have lifted the same trophy again with different crop of young enterprising players, while Buhari himself is now an elected president and not a military head of the country.
This seemed a good omen for the apex national team, the Super Eagles. It also seemed history is about to repeat itself even at the senior level.
Sunday Oliseh was a senior player with the Super Eagles when Nigeria lifted the Tunisia 1994 Nations Cup, same as coach Amunike was an integral part of that team and even scored the two winning goals for Nigeria to lift the trophy, same history may reoccur again.
Keshi returned as a coach to the Super Eagles that he captained and lifted the trophy for Nigeria as a player lifted the second time and lifted it again as a coach, is history in line with president Buhari.
Now that Buhari is president, and had completed his return with lifting the same trophy back with a player, now a coach associated with lucky the same history is about to be repeated with Buhari as president and Sunday Oliseh as a coach now with the same Super Eagles that he played for and the lifted the Tunisia 1994 National cup.
With proper planning and sincerity of purpose, the Buhari soccer lucky factor may also play out for Oliseh, another lucky Nations cup winner.
Right now, Oliseh is on course with the Super Eagles even as the Super Eagles are not yet a team, just like Keshi’s Eagles were not a team yet lucky prevailed as they went on to won the Nations cup for the third time for Nigeria. Buhari as a soccer lucky president AFCON trophy Oliseh might just catch in that to win. ###
