Women Focus: Ladies: Today Decision Determines Tomorrow Destiny

black woman“Life is what you make of it” – Lailah Gifty Akita

“It is good to make careful choice in life as one aspiring to be a virtue woman tomorrow.

One of the things my father told me during one of our discussions about life is this “people bring most of their problems in life on themselves”. How? I asked “by their choice, by the decisions they make”. Note, he didn’t say all. I decided to see if this was true. I began by analyzing others people problems, I came to the conclusion that his statement was true.

As a young lady, the decision and choice you make go a long way in determining how your future will be. You will agree with me that the decision you make greatly impact your life.

The relationship you allow, the job you choose, the career you are going into, the man you wish to marry etc will determine how you end your tomorrow. It is our choices that determine our experiences. It is amazing these days how ladies go about life as if, it didn’t matter what they get out of life.

The choices we are making today will show up in our experiences in the future. Some women are regretting today because of the decision and choice, they make yesterday.

I want to ask this question, “Will the lady you are today, produce the woman, you want to be tomorrow?”

Nothing is most important than making the right decision because right decision will take you to the right place at the right time. Life is the totality of all our decisions.

People throughout ages have always sought to figure out who and what determines the secret of success, I wish to put us through here that the secret of success is the right decision and choice.

Decisions are like getting on the bus. A bus going to your destination will also drop you at your doorpost but if you join a wrong bus even with the most beautiful colour, it will end up at the wrong place. You end up where your decisions take you to, not where you want to be. You cannot control where you end up but you can control the bus you get on or what decision you take.

Every bus cannot take to your house. In making choice, ladies please, don’t choose based on what your friends had chosen. Make your choice based on your destination not appearance or colour. Make choice on where you want to go and be.

Nowadays, we have young girls that their investment is only on clothing, to wear what fashion brings to our wardrobe. They don’t think what they can invest in against the rising of tomorrow. Others go about irrelevant things that don’t really matter in future, waiting for when one rich man will come and marry them.

Before deciding what to do, sit down and ask yourself these questions because today’s decisions will affect your tomorrow’s plans.

(1)         Ask yourself what you may gain or lose by making this choice.

(2)        What does my heart say about what I am trying to do? Your instincts should convince you. Put aside convention, unwanted advice and judgment from others and ask yourself, if this is something that you really want, your heart should be able to convince you.

(3)        Do I have a goal? Have a clear goal in mind while making a decision.

(4)        Weigh the options. Take a good look at each side of the coin. Would you be better off with or without this person, thing or situation? What can it possibly bring to your life that will help you be more successful, happier or healthier? Make two lists and write down all of the pros and cons of taking action and following this course.

Remember, choices are like a dynamo. When you make one decision, it paves the way for other situations to occur, which you will then have to deal with. Taking certain paths can affect your finances, relationships, your friendships and your career. Think things through, and decide whether you will be able to cope with the consequences of your decision, and how you will deal with the collapse. A good decision can make things work out well in the future. ###
