Guinness Party Train Moves To Port Harcourt, Benin

In a bid to satisfy the customers of Guinness, the company over the weekend stormed Port Harcourt and Benin after delivering amazing experiences to consumers in Enugu and Lagos, as its continuous the bid to discover and celebrate some of Nigeria’s unsung heroes. The Guinness team has travelled across different cities in Nigeria for an exceptional celebration of outstanding Made of Black Heroes.

The Port-Harcourt party which held at Cubana lounge hosted the heroes to a special evening which saw a large turnout of fans and Guinness lovers who trooped out en masse to celebrate their city winners following several weeks of nomination.

Speaking at the spectacular events, Portfolio Marketing Manager, Guinness, Ms. Liz Ashdown, said the Madeofbtack campaign celebrates individuals who are made of more, bold and determined in achieving whatever they set their minds to accomplish.

This year, Guinness is turning the camera around to focus on the real ‘Made of Black’ heroes from various strata of life across Nigeria. This is our own way of taking the Made of Black experience to the streets and making Nigerians a part of it”, she said.

Explaining further , she stated that all across Nigeria, Guinness has been celebrating the unsung heroes; people who are doing ordinary things in extra ordinary ways; the dancers, the singers, the drivers, the barmen, the mechanics, the teachers. All those united by their shared black attitude, the people’s Made of Black heroes.

Highlight of the event was a unique style of celebration in Port-Harcourt as the made of black Ambassadors; Olamide and Phyno took to the streets to pay surprise visits to the Made of Black Heroes in their neighbourhoods. After the visit, the heroes joined Olamide and Phyno in a live radio interview on popular Wazobia FM to share their inspiring stories. Olamide and Phyno turned up the tempo of the party with a heroic Made of Black performance and a superb delivery of their hit tracks which left the guests spell-bound and other upcoming Artist.

The Port Harcourt heroes are Goodluck Uchendu, a philanthropist, who has given a lot to his society, Kenny Oziri aka Mr. Wet paint, motar, ID Robert, Kingsley Nnah, Ufuoma Egbamuno, DJ Deeflex, Eng Billy Eugene, Adekunle Tijant and Stanley Sylvester. Their unique stories are a clear demonstration of the black attitude i.e. Ufuoma, stands out for his numerous contribution to sport journalism in Port Harcourt. Though physically challenged, he has defied all odds by doing his job excellently as an O.A,P, sports caster and news editor. We believe he is truly made of black.

The event was hosted by Zias Baba a Radio Presenter in Port Harcourt.

In Benin, the Made of Black party gathered massive crowd as fun-seeking residents of the ancient city came out in their large numbers to party with Guinness. The crowd thronged Naomi Garden Benin City, to identify with their heroes, together with the made of black ambassadors to enjoy the full swing of the party.

The ever funny Don General anchored the event; he gave a good account of himself as he Olamide and Phyno led a number of other rising stars like Maleke, Aza, Lyrical, and Ice to give the Made of Black heroes an unforgettable experience they won’t forget in a long time to come.

Those who were nominated are Osagie Irhue, Rosemary Kahain, Phynix Lee Banks, Sandra Onwualu, Bonaventure Anyawu, Mrs. Tonia Babaobi, Steven Odih, Jedeye, Amakhian Best, Phittown. Nominations were based on those who have impacted their communities positively who are truly Made of Black.
