The Managing Director of MJ&EN West Africa Investment Limited Company, Comr Emeka Ogbondah Emeka has called on Mr. Nyesom Wike the governor of Rivers State to make judicious use of funds allocated to the state by developing the State.
Comr. Emeka gave the advice while receiving an award of excellence on Social Development of Rumuorianwo community, Rumukurusi town.
Comr. Emeka advised the governor to pay more attention in the development of the state, create job opportunities for unemployed youths and tackle insecurity bedeviling the state which will go a long way in reducing youth restiveness, crimes and develop the state.
He commended President Mohammadu Buhari for his milestone achievement within his hundred days in office especially the payment for the bailout funds for the states, his fight against corruption and Boko Haram aimed at reducing insecurity as well as his efforts in rehabilitating Warri Delta State and Port Harcourt Refineries among others.
On the screening of ministerial nominees, Comr. Emeka noted that the Senate is to screen and not to judge.
On the speculation that Buhari has favoured the north most in the appointments of various positions, Comr. Emeka noted that the president has the prerogative power to appoint whoever he wants stressing that it is in the ministerial appointment that he can appoint in line with the federal character.
Comr. Emeka who was the former CDC chairman of Rumukurusi expressed his profound gratitude to Rivers State Indigenous Editors Association for the award conferred on him pointing out that the award will spurn him to do more humanitarian gesture to the less privileges and people of Rivers State and dedicated the award to the Almighty God and his family.
Presenting the award to Emeka Ogbondah Emeka earlier, Mr. Justice Ogbonna the National Chairman of the Rivers Indigenous Editors Association said the association decided to confer the award of excellence on Social Development of Rumuorianwo Community due to his selfless service to humanity especially the presentation of scholarships, payment of school fees to some indigenes of Rumuorianwo community among others.
Mr. Ogbonna expressed optimism that the award conferred on him would spurn him to do more for the less-privileged. ###
