Eckankar Nigeria recently invited members and guest to the celebration of its annual Harji Dinner and its Fiftieth Anniversary of its externalization in the physical worlds. The Harji Dinner is celebrated annually in honor and respect of the Spiritual Leader of the Eckankar, the Religion of the Light and Sound of God, Sri Harold Klemp, the Mahanta, the Living ECK Master. However, the celebration this year coincided with the fifty -year anniversary of Eckankar as a worldwide religion that offers immense spiritual benefits to all mankind who wish to find their way back home to the heavens of God.
The event with the theme: ‘The Transforming Power of the Spiritual Exercises of ECK was celebrated at the Temple of ECK Port Harcourt with a Harji Dinner which drew a sizeable crowd that filled the fellowship hall to its full capacity with invitees drawn from both members of Eckankar, government, business community, the press and general public. The event witnessed scintillating performance from cultural dancers, creative arts, talks and a dinner to mark the activity. Questions were also entertained from the public on the teachings of Eckankar, the Religion of the Light and Sound of God. Among the questions asked and answered were: ‘What is the purpose of life?’; ‘Why is man on earth?’ ‘ What is Karma and Reincarnation?’ ‘How can man understand his dreams?’
The event witnessed the cutting of the anniversary cake and the guest talk which drew the admiration of all attendees. This activity is a prelude to the African Seminar billed to take place in December 13-15, 2015 for which more than ten thousand attendees are being expected.
