The Nigeria Home based Eagles will engage their Burkina Faso counterparts in a chan Africa competition come this Saturday at Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium, Port Harcourt.
As of Tuesday the Home Based Eagles are seen in Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium having their first feel of the stadium.
Information made available to The Newswriter sports desk by Super Eagles equipments manager Chike has it that, Oliseh will be joining the team later Wednesday.
Meaning all is set for soccer fire, come Saturday; the match was originally scheduled to be played on Sunday but was later shifted or rescheduled to hold Saturday instead.
Nigeria has never had it so good in this particular CHAN competition; maybe, Oliseh would be the hero or messiah to unturn the record. Though, Nigeria home based Eagles have not come together at the exit of former Coach Stephen Keshi to have raised a Home Based Eagles’s team. Oliseh has to be smart and raise a quality Home Based Eagles as a team to make his reckoning, if he has to be famous. Therefore, Nigerians may not expect much from Saturday’s encounter based on the fact that he has no team on ground and had not trained them this meeting would give him first class knowledge about some of the players and the competition itself.
Oliseh will definitely need the prayers and support of Nigerians to make a sound record or history in the annals of African soccer, as the first Nigerian coach to have lifted the CHAN trophy. ###
