Another importance of agriculture is provision of frozen foods for the populace in other to hinder importation of such foods from other countries which they think is better of.
Beside the provision of food, agriculture also provides jobs to the teaming youths.
Young and successful self-employed Nigerians who are into designing of shoes and bags get their raw materials from agriculture – animal skins and bones.
The best timbers used for furniture making are taken from big trees found in several forests. In addition, agriculture is a reliable source of foreign exchange earnings. Resources like cash crops-cashew nuts, groundnuts; cocoa that are made for local and international consumption yield reasonable amount of money for the nation. After processing of these cash crops they are sent to other countries for foreign exchange to increase the nation’s foreign reserve. ###
